Founded in 1952, Adega Cooperativa de Favaios is one of the most important landmarks of the village, being widely recognised as one of the most prestigious wineries existing in Portugal. The strength of all its associates allows one of the most characteristic and appreciated Portuguese muscatels to take shape, raising the name of a small territory through the sweetness of a nectar derived from the white Galician muscatel grape variety, Moscatel de Favaios.
